WAV vs M4A: What Changes

- File size - M4A files are typically 75-80% smaller than WAV. A 10-minute WAV at 100MB becomes roughly 20-25MB in M4A
- Audio quality - WAV is uncompressed and lossless. M4A uses lossy compression but at 256kbps, the difference is imperceptible to most listeners
