The part most editors get wrong

Click a paragraph. Type your version. Done.

Most PDF editors that claim to edit text only let you paste a fresh text box on top in a font that does not match. The original wording still sits underneath, the box looks pasted-on, and the page reads as edited.

This editor reads the paragraph you clicked: font, size, color, alignment, and line spacing. It paints a white rectangle over the original glyphs and drops a text box seeded with the same styling. When you download, the new text bakes into the page. The fix reads as part of the document.

Use it for the kind of quick fixes that usually mean regenerating the whole document: a wrong date on a contract, an outdated price on a quote, a typo on the cover page.

What you can do here

One toolbar covers paragraph editing, signing, stamping, images, drawing, highlight and redact, and page operations. Each row below is what one of those tools actually does.

Replace existing paragraphs

Click a paragraph and type your version. The editor reads the original font, size, color, alignment, and line spacing from the PDF and uses them so the new text matches the page.

Add new text

Drop a text box anywhere. Pick from Helvetica, Times, Courier, fonts already used inside your PDF, or a curated set of Google Fonts. Bold, italic, underline, and alignment toggles included.

Sign documents

Draw a signature with your mouse or trackpad, or upload a transparent PNG. Place it, resize it, rotate it, and the result reads like a real signature on a real page.

Preset and custom stamps

Approved, Confidential, Draft, and friends sit in the preset library. Upload your own stamps and they persist across sessions (stored on your device, not on our servers).

Images: add, move, replace, delete

Drop a PNG or JPG anywhere on the page. The Edit image tool surfaces existing images on the page as clickable boxes for one-click deletion or replacement.

Draw and annotate

Freehand strokes, rectangle, ellipse, arrow, line. Any color from the swatches or a custom one. Stroke width is adjustable per shape. Each annotation stays editable until you download.

Highlight and redact

Highlight uses multiply blend so the underlying text shows through clearly. Redact paints a solid black box that gets flattened into the page so the redacted text does not come back when someone copies it.

Pages: reorder, delete, insert, merge

Drag thumbnails in the sidebar to reorder pages. Soft-delete with one-click restore. Insert blank pages at any position. Append other PDFs to the current document. All page operations apply on Download.

Honest about what works and what does not

Works well

  • Editing one or two paragraphs at a time on a text-based PDF.
  • Replacing a name, date, price, or account number anywhere on the page.
  • Signing, stamping, and adding logos or watermarks.
  • Redacting sensitive content with a solid black box that survives export.
  • Reordering, deleting, and inserting pages, or merging in additional PDFs.
  • Annotating contracts, proposals, screenshots, and floor plans.

Not yet supported

  • Editing text on scanned or image-based PDFs. Run them through OCR first.
  • Saving edits back to a password-protected PDF. Remove the password first, then edit.
  • True deletion of the original content stream. We mask it visually, but a copy-paste from the file can still surface the old wording.
  • Letter-spaced full justification on export. We detect alignment and apply it in preview, but the writer outputs left-aligned today.
  • Rotated or non-Latin scripts inside paragraph-edit. The font picker handles them; the layout heuristics are tuned for Latin text.

How to edit a PDF online

Three steps. No signup. Your file stays on your device.

1

Open your PDF

Drop a single PDF up to 100 MB. The pages render in your browser, so the editor opens fast. Password-protected files prompt for the password and open as read-only.

2

Edit anything on the page

Click any paragraph and type over it. The editor matches the original font, size, color, and alignment. The toolbar also has Sign, Stamp, Add image, Edit image, Draw, Rectangle, Ellipse, Arrow, Line, Highlight, Redact, and Insert page.

3

Download the edited PDF

Every edit gets baked into the page. The output is a clean PDF with no watermarks. It opens correctly in any reader on any device, with text still searchable and selectable.

What people use it for

Fixing typos and updating wording

Click the paragraph, type your correction, download. Because the font and color match the original, the fix looks like it was always there. Not like a sticky note glued on.

Updating dates, prices, and numbers

Replace a 2024 date with 2026. Bump a quoted rate. Fix the wrong account number on an invoice you cannot regenerate. The replacement reads as part of the document.

Signing without printing

Draw a signature with your mouse or trackpad, or upload one as a transparent PNG. Place it on the signature line, resize, and download the signed copy.

Stamping documents

Approved, Confidential, Draft, Reviewed, and a few more sit in the preset library. You can save your own custom stamps and they stay across sessions.

Redacting names and account numbers

Drag a black box over anything sensitive. The text underneath gets painted over before download, so it does not come back when someone copies text from the PDF.

Adding a logo or watermark

Drop a PNG or JPG anywhere on the page. Scale, rotate, position. Useful for branding proposals or stamping drafts.

Reorganizing pages

Drag thumbnails in the sidebar to reorder. Soft-delete pages with one-click restore until you download. Insert a blank page at any position.

Filling forms that have no form fields

Plenty of forms get saved as plain PDFs with no interactive fields. Drop a text overlay on each line, type, and the filled form downloads as a normal PDF.

Frequently asked questions

Real edits. When you click a paragraph, the editor reads its font, size, color, alignment, and line spacing from the PDF, then drops an editable text box seeded with that same styling. The original glyphs underneath are hidden by a white rectangle and the replacement gets baked into the output. Most browser editors only let you paste a fresh text box over the old text in a mismatched font. That is not what happens here.
