Every AVIF becomes its own one-page PDF
The converter turns each AVIF file into a separate PDF with a single page holding that image. Upload five files and you get five PDFs, not one document with five pages. To put them together, run the results through Merge PDF, which lets you order the pages before you download.
The reason to do this at all is that PDF readers don't need to understand AVIF. A screenshot, a scan or a receipt saved as AVIF from a website will not open in Windows 10 Photos without an extra codec, and many upload forms refuse it. As a PDF it opens in any reader and attaches to a form that accepts documents only.

What to know before you convert
PDF is an open international standard, so the file you get is not tied to Adobe software. An animated AVIF loses its motion; only the first frame goes onto the page. If you need the picture as an image file rather than a document, AVIF to JPG or AVIF to PNG is the simpler path.
